The Dartmouth Skating Club sent 9 skaters to a competition called Skatefest on Saturday, March 12th, 2016 at St. Margaret’s Arena in Tantallon. The skaters received silver and gold status after performing various elements they are working on from the CanSkate program. Some skaters performed their solo and participated in a speed event. This fun competition is an introduction to the concept of being evaluated in a setting outside of normal skating lessons and allows the skaters to demonstrate what they have learned.
